Software for connected hardware.

Your device works on the bench. I build everything it needs once it leaves: the cloud behind it, the link that gets data home, updates that cannot brick it, and a safe way in when something goes wrong.

What I build

  • A view of the whole fleet

Every unit, where it is, what software it runs and whether it is healthy. Reports and analytics your customers can read.

  • A link that survives bad networks

Hospital wifi, venue networks, units that drop offline for days. Data waits on the device and gets home when the network comes back.

  • Updates that cannot brick a device

Signed releases rolled out safely to a fleet running different software versions, without breaking a single unit already installed.

  • Remote support behind firewalls

A secure way to reach units inside networks you do not control, with the paperwork your customers' IT teams will ask for.

Where I have done it

For a UK detection hardware company with units installed in hospitals, I built the cloud platform, the link from device to cloud, and secure remote access through hospital firewalls. Every change was designed in writing first, then shipped without breaking the fleet already in the field.

For Johnson & Johnson, I built EventScope: edge devices on a congress stand feeding a live dashboard, built to keep counting when the venue network does not.

How we start

A short call to understand the device, the network it lives on and what is hurting. If there is a fit, a one week scoping sprint turns that into a written spec, an architecture and a fixed price for the build.

Your team keeps the firmware. I take everything from the device outward, and I write it down so your team can own it after I leave.
